Museum of Illusions in Johannesburg
Prepare yourself for an experience of eye-opening, mind-bending, and non-stop fun. The world-renowned Museum of Illusions officially opens its doors in Joburg on Sat, Jul 6, 2024, at The Zone @Rosebank.
This is the latest addition to a network of more than 50 Museum of Illusions sites around the world. Since the 2015 launch of the first Museum of Illusions in Zagreb, Croatia, this global phenomenon has welcomed more than a whopping 120 million visitors. We know Joburg will love this, because we visited the Museum of Illusions in Zagreb a few years ago, and loved every minute of it. Utterly innovative, you can expect a unique and interactive experience that will challenge your perceptions, inspire creativity, and provide a fun and educational experience for visitors of all ages. It's pure play, something we all need more of, regardless of age or stage.
With a wide range of extraordinary exhibits, optical illusions, and hands-on displays, we think the Museum of Illusions is a must-visit destination. For centuries, optical illusions have fascinated people. It boggles the mind to think that your eyes can trick you into seeing something that's not really there. Museum of Illusions champions “edutainment”, weaving together fun and learning.
This is the spot to visit whether you're looking for somewhere original to spend a first date, up for a one-of-a-kind adventure, want to keep the family enthralled, you're an unstoppable Instagrammer, or simply looking for something different to do in Joburg. You'll be sharing the photographs long after your visit.
Ticket prices for adults are R190 p.p., children (4-12) and seniors (60+) are R150 p.p. A family ticket combo (two adults and two children) is R580.
